Our Team

Maverick joined Independent Plan Investments in the fall of 2022 and quickly discovered his passion for the industry. In 2025, he purchased IPI and rebranded it to Independent Plan Financial to highlight the comprehensive services the business offers. Maverick brings over a decade of experience as a commercial and agricultural banker in western Nebraska. He holds a Bachelor's degree (2011) and a Master's degree (2012) from Chadron State College. Outside of work, Maverick enjoys spending time with his two kids, coaching their sports teams, ranching, and flying.

Greg joined Independent Plan Investments in 2000, bringing with him 15 years of experience as an independent commercial and agricultural banker in Nebraska and Wyoming. He eventually purchased IPI and has gone on to create a trusted business. In 2025, he sold IPI to Maverick but will continue to work part-time until he fully retires. Greg, a native of northwest Nebraska, is a Chadron State College graduate. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and working outdoors on the family farm.

Lacy joined Independent Plan Financial in January of 2025 as both the Director of Marketing and the Client Relationships Manager. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Lacy has spent years in multiple industries adding “tools to her toolbox”. She’s been in the ranching industry her whole life, worked almost 8 years as an accounting clerk for large ranches with AgReserves, Inc and 3 years as a personal banker.  A lifetime learner, Lacy is always striving to gain new expertise and knowledge.  In her free time, she enjoys running, hunting, traveling, and working with horses.

Carolyn joined Independent Plan Investments in 2023 after over 20 years as a house cleaner and 4 years as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Highland Park. She grew up on a farm northeast of Berea, Nebraska, attended Hemingford High School, and graduated from MPCC in North Platte. Carolyn enjoys spending time assisting clients, relaxing at home with her pets, gardening, and traveling with her significant other, Tony, to see their grandkid and attend car shows. As an avid Nebraska fan, she loves watching and attending University of Nebraska football and volleyball games.
